Zoe Hellar and Digital Camera Reviews

My Name is Zoe Hellar, I havemainly grown up in London and now living inAustralia. I absolutley love techie things , especially digital photography. I grew up with using cameras from the days of film. My first camera was the ever affordable East German manufactured Practica, and from then on moved up to a Pentax Program A.

I then wanted to understand all the concepts of photography and ended up creating my own dark room and developing/printing my own black and white photographs.

I got so involved in Photography with my new found family of lenses, tripod and tint filters, that I was taking my camera everywhere I went. Needless to say , I used to go to concerts, parties, days out and finally realising that I was not really enjoying the event but spending most of my time looking through a viewfinder.

This alll changed when I decided to sell all my gear and purchase my first instamatic, whichwas still film based. Digital photography still had not yet been invented.

My first instamatic was special . It was a waterproof Vivitar which I could take everywhere. It was fantastic. The only let down was that you did not have the adjustment flexibility that you have now with digital pocket cameras. This camera turned form being a good friend to a damnenemy. i was taking a photo of a chum of mine while I wass in the water and he was coming off a water chute. He came off at great speed wherby his leg ended up in the lens as I held my camera to my face. The camera hit my head with such force that I needed stiches. (You can stil see the word "Vivitar" printed backwards on my forehead.)

Then the world of digital came. I got disinterested fo a few years until the manufacturers settled down after winning the marketing battles associated to formats, technologies ( a bit like the Betamax versus Vhs war).

The beauty of today's digital camera market is that there are now even more options to the customer as electronic manufactures as well as camera manufacturers fight for a big share of this market. Gone are the days when Casio were renowned for making just calculators.

Storing Digital Photos

There is a lot of photo organizing software on the market which at first glance might appear to be the ideal solution for sorting and storing your pictures but could easily end up eating up valuable space on your computer hard drive. As your hard drive fills up some of your pc functions could slow down.
There are a number of solutions available to facilitate storing data. Which solution is best for you depends on how much you want to spend in terms of hard cash and time.

Picture Frame Size - Does it Matter?

Digital picture frames have become popular items and are manufactured by dozens of companies. A digital picture frame can range in size from 1inch to 17 inches. The size a person needs depends greatly on the desired location of their digital picture frame. Most digital picture frames less than 2” are reserved for key chains and other novelty items and not something you would want to display on your desk or table for example.

Mastering Shutter Speed in Low Light Conditions

With today's enormous variety of fully-automated digital cameras it can often be difficult to capture low-light indoor and action photos that are pleasing and successful. For example, pictures from a recent indoor family gathering might be full of red-eyed friends and relations and clusters of people brilliantly over lit by the flash. So, how does a photographer avoid this?

How Does A Digital Camera Combined Auto Focus Work

Objects in good focus in a digital photo is a very basic requirement for high quality photography. There are two different ways to focus on such objects: manual or automatic. There are a few automatic focus methods – combined auto focus systems use more than one such method.
High quality sharp and crisp digital photos are a result of many optical parameters that need to be set right. One of the most important optical parameters is focus.
